Two F-16's of the Royal Thai Air Force that were taking part in joint US-Thai exercise Cobra Gold 2011 crashed on Monday 14th February.

According to Air Vice Marshal Monton Sanchukorn, the two F-16's reportedly disappeared from the radar screen at around 10:20am local time after four of them took off from an air force base in north-eastern Nakhon Ratchasima province (most likely Korat Air Base).

Later the two F-16's were found in north-eastern Chaiyabhum province. Initial reports indicate there was a mid air collision between the two aircraft although an official investigation is now under way.
